Unpopular opinion: Ditch Nvidia already

reddit

Often when something new is being proposed or implemented, Nvidia comes/is brought up as a hurdle. See Wayland and Ubuntu 22.04, or SimpleDRM just in the last week (whether these technologies are "good" or not is not my point).

Why?

Nvidia has always been hostile towards Linux, it's common knowledge. The famous "F you Nvidia" line is from a decade ago. Why do people who care about Linux still buy it? Intel and AMD IGPUs and AMD cards work fine. Literally everything other than Nvidia does.
