How could I pay a developer to get currently unsupported hardware working?

Hello all,

I recently purchased a new Dell XPS 9305 laptop with, unexpectedly, a fingerprint reader. I want to get it working, but there are no binaries in existence, unfortunately, and there are no results for this lsusb output:

ID 27c6:5335 Shenzhen Goodix Technology Co.,Ltd. Goodix Fingerprint Device

It's not quite the same as other supported XPS models.

On that note, I'm not just complaining – I'd like to put my money where my mouth is. I don't want to develop, and I frankly don't have the time, as a busy person. What I would like to do is pay someone (potentially a couple hundred USD if considerable development is required) to get this fingerprint reader working somehow and distribute the code/solution to all.

How could I pay/sponsor an adequate developer to do this for me? I don't even know where to start looking, and I don't want to just pay some person on Fiverr to throw together shoddy C code that could contain a backdoor.

Any advice is appreciated.
