Boot into the EFI system setup from your Linux command line


If you ever need to boot into the system setup, don't worry about remembering what the key combination was, or missing the timing to hit the button during the POST screen.

Just run this command as root and the system will reboot and get into the setup:

# systemctl reboot –firmware-setup

This only works on systems with EFI technology and not running in CSM mode – anything x86 that is less than 5 years old should be like that.
